There’s nothing better than a success story. That’s especially true when it comes to people rehabilitating from serious illnesses and injuries. Every day, Spaulding Rehabilitation helps people get back to their lives. Through the “Stories of Strength” series, we helped create inspiring content that spread the word about the amazing work that Spaulding does with its clients.
When creating content to help your fundraising efforts, it’s important to show the impact of donor support. This puts a face to the gifts; and there’s no better way to showcase the impact of giving than to hear it from the patients themselves. It’s also important to be consistently showcasing the impact of giving throughout the year. That way, you’re not just showing up in front of your audience when you’re asking for something. With their “Stories of Strength” series, Spaulding is doing exactly this by turning their patients into storytellers and advocates.
As part of this ongoing campaign, Spaulding selects patient stories to highlight as part of their “Stories of Strength” series. For these videos, our team collaborates with the Spaulding team to develop the story, select interview subjects, secure shot locations, create the production schedule, and edit it all together to tell an incredible story. Typically, we interview the patient themselves, someone from the Spaulding team who made their story possible, the patient’s family members, and whoever else can help tell this patient’s story. We take one shoot day to conduct the interviews and capture the broll on site, usually at one of the Boston-area Spaulding hospitals. The structure of these videos consists of the patients’ personal story and how Spaulding Rehabilitation helped them in their experience, whatever it may be. At the end of the day, our hope is to produce an emotional story that will resonate with donors and inspire them to take action.
The 5 Tool team has helped tell the story of marathon runners, a Paralympian, a former NFL star, and many more. No matter whose story we’re telling, these stories never fail to show off the world class work that Spaulding does in the world of rehabilitative medicine.
