How We Did It

This year for #TuftsGivingTuesday, 5 Tool Productions produced something beyond the standard package of rich media content; we worked on a distinct brand guide to utilize throughout the campaign for all stages of production.

 From the set backdrop during media day to promo videos and graphics for students to share, it was used from beginning to end. On top of that, we produced a scripted introductory promo video starring Tufts student Ayomide Oloyede, and more than 50 pieces of media day content such as group-specific hype reels, posters, videos designed to engage with specific audiences, and photos students were able to share on social platforms. Branding & Graphics

Using Tufts signature white and blue, we incorporated a series of textures, shapes, and logos to bring the campaign to life. All parts created in the look and feel of the package were used to make posters and social media graphics for students to share and distribute throughout their social channels to promote #TuftsGivingTuesday.

The graphics were also included in a promo video voiced and written by Tufts Student Ayomide Oloyede. from the set design to the posters hung around campus seen in the video, the #TuftsGivingTuesday branding was everywhere!

A Story In a Student's Own Words

In addition to all of our other assets, we did something new and produced a scripted promo video to kick off Tufts Giving Tuesday. Written and voiced by Tufts’ very own Ayomide “Ayo” Oloyede ’25, we produced a video that underscores the impact giving has on the Tufts student experience and how every gift has a Jumbo meaning!

Featured in this promo, you can see stickers and posters on the walls and hung around campus that comes from our very own graphics package.

Media Day

Over a span of two days, we took on the #TuftsGivingTuesday media day with three sets. Our first set included a photo station on a white backdrop which we later turned photos into graphics and posters for students to promote Tufts Giving Tuesday. Our second set consisted of a video station with a custom backdrop containing all aspects of the graphics package. Lastly, and once again, we had our signature 360 booth, for students to directly share their reel on social media, which is always a hit!

Here at 5 Tool we go big or go home. This year, we went BIG.

Results

To wrap it up, it’s quite obvious we had a lot of work to do. All of the videos from the media day were turned into 32 different videos. 28 of those were hype reels of each team, club, or organization to share on their social channels. The other 4 videos included an overarching hype video, an athletics video, a pre-launch teaser, and a thank you video. The photos we took on media day were used to create graphics for each group to distribute as well. Check out our behind the scenes to see how we did it all.
