A peek into all things APC

The Administrative Professionals Conference has taken our team all over the country – from Chicago, to Florida, to Las Vegas. Each year, the conference includes 4 days of 40+ training sessions and workshops with over 2,000 attendees and our team is there to capture it all!

How We Did It

Photography

Photos are a must have at any event, and it’s important to capture as much as possible throughout the duration of the conference. Whether it was at a keynote session, in a breakout room, or at a networking event, our photographer was there capturing the energy of the conference! We worked with the Diversified Communications team prior to the event to work through what kinds of shots the team wanted to see (photos of speakers, wide shots of full sessions, attendees networking, key signage or photo opps, etc). 

Video Capture

At a conference as expansive and popular as APC, there is a lot going on throughout the week! This means there is tons of footage to capture such as educational sessions, keynote presentations, attendee networking activities, and much more. Our team traverses the conference to hit every session and keynote they can, while still leaving time to pull attendees and speakers aside to interview them about their experience and takeaways of the event. Footage captured on site can be used after the event in highlight reels and promotional videos for the next conference.

Podcast Production

Podcasts are all the rage these days, and they’re the ideal way to capture the education, advice and experiences of your attendees than to sit them down and record a podcast of their own! APC had their own podcast booth at their 2023 conference in Las Vegas. This was great because it was placed in a heavy traffic area and allowed passersby to watch as their fellow colleagues recorded episodes and testimonials. Enhanced by a great photo-op area with the podcast logo, the simple studio was a great execution of this simple idea, and the team got so much usable content out of it to boot. The episodes were edited together after the event and published as full themed episodes (audio and video versions) all accompanied by snazzy looking social clips that were published and shared around to promote the upcoming episodes.

Deliverables

Photos and videos that we capture throughout the conference are used not only to showcase how great that year’s event went, but also can be utilized as promotional material for the next event. We take the photos back and edit them in house, delivering about 500 photos to the client. These photos have been used on the conference’s website, sent out in marketing material and newsletters, as well as used to fill social content on different pages. The footage captured on site can be edited in many different ways to use long after the event is over. These videos can be a recap or highlight reel of all the educational and fun events that happened that week, or can be split into multiple pieces of content that get into more specific themes. Using soundbites from man on the street style interviews with attendees and speakers, we can put together a series of videos to showcase the different thing attendees can look forward to at your conference; such as education, networking, training, etc.
